I began this piece in the garage of our bach in Cardrona, just after we had returned from a tramp further south. My feet were sore, but I really wanted to paint.
I carried on adding to it later in my studio in Riverhead, building more soft layers.
I love this piece. It will always carry the feeling of that trip and remind me of Milford Sound.
