Vivid teal green and soft blush were colours I returned to often in 2022, particularly through commissions such as Sculpted Ground and Window to the Sea.
This was my attempt to bring that palette into a much larger work. At the time, I felt I couldn’t quite achieve the effect I wanted at this scale, so I put her away.
Pulling her out again in 2026, I see her completely differently, and I love her. Perhaps I simply needed some distance.
